Agilent Technologies Cares for Kids

Staff from Agilent Technologies participated in the United Way Day of Caring on September 12, at three SAY program sites: the Sunflower Community Garden, Tamayo Village, and the Coffee House Teen Shelter.

These amazing volunteers tackled some ambitious projects: they brightened our hallways with new paint at Tamayo Village, gave new life to our dining room, kitchen and front yard at the Coffee House Teen Shelter, and constructed an amazing set of greenhouses from scratch at our Sunflower Community Garden. Toni Abraham, our program manager for the garden is thrilled with the new greenhouses, “the old greenhouses were falling down, and unusable, our winter crops will be so much happier in the new greenhouses!” Hal Mulligan, an engineer at Agilent Technologies and his team built these two new greenhouses in just one day, based on a design he had seen at the Sonoma County Jail Industries Garden.
