Getting Into the Holiday Spirit
Christmas is coming and SAY youth, staff and volunteers are getting into the holiday spirit with activities galore! From a gingerbread house competition at our Tamayo Village housing program, ornament making with our YouthLink Youth Employment Center team, to a lively cookie and Ukulele night we’re welcoming the holidays with fun and good cheer.
Katrina Thurman, Chief Operating Officer of SAY explains, “The holiday season can be hard for the vulnerable young people we support at SAY. Cookies and Ukuleles are a simple, but magical, antidote. We LOVE our volunteers who bring such joy and play and a sense of family to the kids when they need us the most!”
A special holiday thanks should be given to two SAY supporters and volunteers, Kay Marquet who provided hundreds of cookies to our youth at Tamayo Village and Stepping Stone, and Bret Martin, ukulele extraordinaire who has us all strumming our favorite carols.
