Our Volunteers make the Holidays Bright for our Youth!
The Christmas holidays are a special time for us at SAY. It’s a great time to celebrate, and to help our youth build some new traditions, especially when it can also be a time that a lot of people feel lonely. Our volunteers and donors are our favorite Christmas elves! This year they brightened up the holidays by hosting dinners in our housing programs, bringing presents for our youth, and baking all the cookies and treats we could eat!
This year we also celebrated our first Christmas at the SAY Finley Dream Center with a great chili dinner and cookie decorating night, with an ugly sweater party with the Santa Rosa East Rotary Club, a cookie night with Soroptomist International Santa Rosa, homemade ornaments from the Redwood Empire Stitchers and so, so much more! We also celebrated Christmas with our annual burrito dinner night at Tamayo Village – hosted by the Tamayo Family, with a special cookie and ukelele night the next night hosted by Kay Marquet and Bret Martin!
We have more Christmas elves than we can mention, and our hearts are so full of love for the outpouring of support we have received. To everyone who has helped us make this winter a fun filled joyous time, thank you for keeping our youth in your hearts this Christmas!
