SAY Opens Emergency Winter Shelter for Homeless Youth

During these winter months, when it is extremely cold at night, the safety of our homeless community is a major concern for us at SAY. To help keep our youth safe, from December through March 2017 we are opening an overnight shelter program in downtown Santa Rosa to give emergency housing to up to 20 young people ages 18-24 each night.

For details on how to sign up to stay in our shelter, please contact our staff at the Coffee House Teen Shelter, 1243 Ripley St., Santa Rosa, stop by between 9am – 6:30pm, or call our 24/7 Emergency Hotline: (888)792-0012

A few short weeks ago, we asked community members to make meals for the homeless youth in our emergency winter shelter. And we got such an awesome response!

We asked you to deliver meals for 20 adults every single night from Dec.1 to March 31. In a matter of days, December and January were filled up, and February is almost full. A hot meal made with love is a great way to show your care, and we are incredibly grateful to our volunteers for signing up so quickly!

There are some dates still available! Visit our Meal Train to get more details about signing up to make a meal: https://mealtrain.com/vv88mw.
